Hello all!!
As much as I love spending money (and I really do), I also love window shopping. And so while I bought a few things on Saturday, I also enjoyed the windows in Islington.
Here is what caught my attention.
Which of these would you buy?
The tackiness of them is too much - I want them all. The most interesting thing about them is that they were in the window of an antique lighting shop!!!
And here is a very cool customer that made me stop and snap:
The next three 'toys" are from a kids' shop. Something about them that is very disturbing and freaky. In fact, dolls on the whole disturb me, yet I am drawn to them:
So, that was the second instalment of my Islington excursion.
Have a lovely rest of the week and see you here very soon.

"There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't belive impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Through the Looking Glass

Rocking horses and trendy people on Upper Street
Hello all!
I usually meet my friends in Brixton, or the South Bank, but yesterday, I had a rehearsal meeting in the trendy Islington. I haven't been there for a while now, so after a very productive meeting, it was a nice treat to spend the afternoon browsing through antique and vintage stalls and of course spending a little bit of money too. I'll show you my goodies in the next post, but for now, here are a few interesting things I saw.
My obsession with rocking horses continues. This one is absolutely divine:
This one is less fabulous, but it still deserves a mention:
On to another beauty. I walked up and down this little street quite a few times over the 3-4 hours I was there and this man did not move from his chair. Just for his stoic perseverance to stay seated here in the cold weather for so long, has earned him a place on my blog.
I love this girl's hair piece and make up (as ever, click on the images to enlarge):
And as I was walking back to the Angel tube station, I came across these beautiful flowers. Only it turns out that what makes the picture interesting is not the actual flowers, but the legs of the flower seller in the corner. I was about to ask him to take a picture of him lounging in his chair, but thought better of it. This makes it a much more interesting image.
I hope your Saturday was relaxing and you came across some interesting people and details around you.
Have a fab week.

My new friend Cat
Hello all!
I am not known as an animal lover. Don't dislike them, but I don't get all soppy when I see a cat or a dog. If I was to choose my favourite pet, it would be fish. No fuss, they demand very little from you and they are pretty. I used to keep fish, big tank and all that, but at some point they started committing suicide. I'd come back home in the evening, and another fish would be lying on the floor. So, I patiently waited for them to extinct themselves and got rid off the whole thing.
Now, pet free, I only admire animals from afar. However, on one of my walks through the Village recently, I met a Cat that I rather liked. I recorded our very civil encounter here:
You rarely see cats in the Village, so when I spotted this one, I thought I'd say hello;
She was not having any of it; she was busy daydreaming:
And just as I was about to give up, she turned around and said hello:
Have you made any new friends lately? Hope your friendship lasts longer than mine and Cat's. I haven't seen her since October last year!
Have a happy week.
