Happy 1st birthday Boye By Red!!

Hello all!!!

So,... here we are 73 posts and thousands of visitors later, Boye By Red reaches its first birthday!!!
I have been resisting the world of blogging for years, but once I started doing my own, I was amazed at what a wonderful community we have out there. And the most unusual and special thing about it is that everyone, and I mean everyone, is always lovely. I am yet to receive or see an unkind comment on any of the blogs I regularly follow. Everyone is supportive, interested, curious - everyone across the globe. I feel that this is the one medium that seems to encourage kindness and appreciation of others. That puts a smile on my face.

I don't have many followers, and I don't receive many comments, but I know that quite a few of you come, read and quietly leave on a daily basis. And I like this silent but persistent "friendship" we have. That's not to say that I am not happy when I do get comments from some of you that do write (I love it when you do!!!). I just want to emphasise that I appreciate both sides. Thank you for coming and sharing my musings on life in London.

I started Boye By Red blog to show and share bags and other pretty crochet things I make. However, I soon realised that I don't make work that fast, and that the blog goes to sleep every few weeks due to my slow progress. I also realised that I have so many other things that I am interested in and want to share with the world, and so the blog quickly turned into "my virtual diary" of things I snapped, noticed and was inspired by.
So, for the next six days, I will look back at things I have shared with you over the past 12 months. Of course, the celebration will mostly include pictures I have taken. Since I started carrying my camera everywhere, I started noticing things I never have before. Details, randoms and unusual things catch my eye on a daily basis.

So, let's begin at the beginning (click on the pictures to enlarge).

Some of the Boye By Red bags that first launched at the blog. Since then, there has been quite a few commissions, sold bags, orders.

And you have seen my messy work station:

This is where the first day of the celebrations ends. See you all here tomorrow for more Boye By Red delicacies.

Red xx

Hello Red:
Congratulations on reaching this wonderful blogging anniversary! It has been good to see the way in which your blog has developed over the past twelve months. It now has much more of a personal flavour and it is really interesting to read about you, your surroundings and your ideas and interests.

The bags look very pretty and we are so pleased that they have sold well. Things are so difficult for people at the moment that if you are finding buyers for your work, then you must be doing something right!!!

We look forward to many more future posts!!!
