Rainy weekend

Hello all,

Unexpectedly, I spent this weekend at home cleaning, reading, watching Mad Men and listening to good music. I just went out to buy papers yesterday, and the rest of the time I spent at home. I haven't done that in a long time, and I have to admit, it is just what the doctor ordered. The house is now clean and tidy, and I got back in touch with myself (hope that makes sense).
And I looked at my photo albums again as well as took some pictures of my room and balcony.
Here is what I found:

This is the view from my sitting room. It was grey and cloudy, but I was safe inside my warm room.
And here are the flowers I am growing on my terrace. Pretty, I am sure you'll agree:

I took pictures of the stuff on my sitting room table. It is always messy, but there is always so much to look at. Let me know what details you like on these two pictures:

What did you do this weekend? Do you sometimes just stay at home and potter around?

Have a great week.

Hello Red:
We absolutely love weekends like this, indeed, we love whole weeks like this. Nothing to do except potter about and rummage amongst one's 'stuff' [we have a lot of 'stuff', so rummaging through it can take some time].

Your table holds a number of delights from what we can make out with our myopic vision. First, Salvador Dali, whom we could, without too much of an imagination stretch regard as a muse, Derek Jarman, whose garden we regard as iconic, and we are addicted to cryptic crosswords which must lurk somewhere in the pile of newspapers.

We have discovered you and your most varied writings via the fabulos Fifi and shall look forward to many happy returns!!
